quebec.

our canadian thanksgiving feast in the making (thanksgiving in canada is in early october.) it was DELICIOUS and involved me, stephen, bit, colin, david and lauren (our manager who was visiting us and we LOVE her.) so amazing.
david, who is stephen's (and now OUR) friend...we stayed with him for about a week and he's the best.
sweet rap benefit concert that was put on for us.
a delicious patisserie near stephen's sister's apartment (where we stayed). we went here a lot that week.
an experimental art show/concert in an abandoned warehouse loft on a sunday night. only in montreal. and yes...those are boroque-style hipster clowns. ridiculously fun.
us and our sweet contacts from sherbrooke, qc. they were so cool and hospitable. from left it's stephen (my teammate), nat, upside down bit (my teammate), me, colin (my teammate), roxanne, and mathieu.
this is ecole secondaire la ruche (la ruche high school) - it was a francophone school so we had to do our presentations in french...aka i did. we only spoke in a 3 or 4 classes out of the 1500 student population, but still the whole school got really into it and we made over 1300 dollars in sales! they were amazing - really excited about getting involved. and 3/4 of my team couldn't even speak their language! it was inspiring.


wow- i've been really bad about posting, sorry. but basically - quebec has come and gone! it was absolutely AMAZING. the culture was so wonderful. very european. and i was pleasantly surprised when i found out that...i can still speak french! i was a bit nervous cause it had been awhile, but i was fine and did a lot of translating for my team and teaching them little phrases. to be able to speak with strangers in french again was a really refreshing and fun thing. i loved the people as well - definitely made some great friends there. i'll let the pictures do the talking, but i absolutely loved it (especially montreal) and hope to go back soon...it's just a quick drive across the border into a whole new world, who would've thought?
