the perfect fall day...we went for a walk around downtown and it was absolutely lovely. this was a nice little park we passed through.

this bakery in the downtown market had these cookies that were shaped like maple leaves, and apparently on his visit to canada pres. obama came in and had one, and absolutely loved it (it actually made him exclaim, 'i love this country!'). canadians are nuts about barack, so they turned it into the main attraction of their bakery...bit and i obviously got one.

so as you may or may not know, my team and i are currently in toronto. which is not the capital of canada. but the title of this post is referring to ottawa, where we spent the last week and a half. it was an interesting time, and a beautiful city. the screenings were frustrating at first because we had trouble getting people to them, but as our time there progressed they became more and more successful. we met some awesome people too - definitely glad we went. and i must admit, even i felt a little canadian pride as we strolled through the streets of the capital...you can sort of feel it in their air there. i loved all the canadianness that permeated the population in ottawa...made me a little homesick for the colors that don't run, though...
i'm referring of course to red white and blue. and i am clearly joking.
